Is there a system that plays both SNES and Super Fami games?

From 1989-1993, the 16-bit revolution was in full swing, with the Sega Genesis, NEC Turbo Grafx 16, Super Nintendo, and SNK Neo-Geo (self-proclaimed 24-bit)

Is there a system that plays both SNES and Super Fami games?

Post by Carlos »

So I just bought a Generation NEX (plays both NES and Famicom games) from a member on Neo-Geo.com and was wonder if such a console or clone existed that plays both SNES and Super Famicom games? While I'd rather have the real deal, I'll buy a clone if it makes things more convenient. If no clone exists, how hard is it to mod an SNES to play both regions? I hear there's some plastic tabs on the sides of the cartridge slot you can break off and it will fit both carts, but I'm not 100% on that.

There was a system made years ago, a clone of sorts, that would play N64, SNES, and SFAM carts, there were slots for each. I am trying to find info on it now.

Isn't there an adapter that lets you play SFC on your SNES? I know there was something for the NES called the Honeybee that let you play Famicom games.

I seem to recall this also. Believe I saw a review of this on Gamester81's YouTube site. For those of you unfamiliar with him, heres a link to his page-

Try the FC Twin.
Theyre like 40$ and play NES and SNES games.

if you bust off the plastic tabs inside the unit with a pair of needlenose pliers, it plays SFC games also.

The plastic tabs are just guides for the SNES carts. They're pointless.

I have one, it's pretty good! :tanooki:
