Lukemorse1 leaves Youtube on a extremely sad note :_(

Post by Carlos »

I'm sure many of you know who Luke Morse is. My heart pours out to him; as tragically, he became too consumed in his hobby and could possibly lose his family.

I just discovered him a month ago through HappyConsoleGamer. I've seen most of his videos and I really admired all the passion, enthusiasm, excitement, and willingness to help others in his videos. He seemed to be a very nice, humble, and overall awesome guy. His last video brought me to tears, as it was a real eye opener, and really made me take a step back and think for a moment, as I've been close to the same situation with my fiance, and I took his father's advice to heart. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors and hope everything works out in the end. He'll be missed.

This is a reminder to everyone to know what your priorities are and do not make this or any hobby your life focus.

Gads. Very well done video.

Just by watching the video, scanning through his channel for a minute, and looking at a few stills of some of his vids, I can see how this all enveloped and possibly destroyed him: nearly 800 videos, many of which 10 minutes each, videos every week...man.

I hope things work out for him, even though I don't know him personally or anything.

Was it all a stunt? I didn't ever see or hear about him until all this, but it appears as if he never stopped making vids, but got a ton of subscribers in doing all this. I know nothing at all about him, and am not trying to come across as cruel by any means, but it just appears that if it was indeed true that a lesson wasn't really learned.

Any update on the fall-out of all this?

I don't think it was any kind of stunt (but I could be wrong), but with him losing his family, he just decided to keep on collecting games and making videos is the way I took it, once he got over it.

Don't mean to sound really cold, but it looks to me like that's what happened (especially since his 'final video' has long since been removed).

So I take it his family is still gone? Man, thats really too bad. Then to go back to what drove your family away in the first place... :dontknow:

I dunno, I mean if they are gone and that is the impression I get then maybe it just was not meant to be. If he is not actively fighting to get them back and continues now with the gaming videos then I can only assume he has made a choice. He does seem happy again, not everyone is made for or cut out for family life and this just may be the case for Luke, it is hard to imagine but he is the one that has to live with it.......................

I dunno. If she isn't coming back, I don't see how going back to what he loves is a problem. Just find a girl who accepts your hobby. I once had a girl break up with me in 1998 for showing too much attention to this beast:

And yes, that's a Resident Evil 2 shirt. :)
One burning question that will remain with him until his dying days....."Was my victory really worth the price I had to pay?"

Luke's been making lots of videos. I reserve my opinion, not really my place to have one, as it's really not my business to say anything about someone's stuff.

But he's been back, making small vids here and there. Some big ones, too.

Yea, Luke Morse has been back for a while now, but now he only does maybe 2 or 3 videos a week, instead of 2 or 3 a day.
