Doin' a MaxRD (video promo)...

BS about anything you like in here, as long as it's not TOO controversial

Doin' a MaxRD (video promo)...

Post by Darryl B. »

I did a review of an obscure board game called Laser Attack. I've gotten obsessed with this lately too, since it had been haunting me in my closet for years, then I just got into it again recently.

If anyone knows anything about this game, I'd appreciate passing it on, I can't find squat about it on the internet as it is!

Oh, and just as a word of warning, it's just one second shy of being eight minutes long. So just a warning there, case you're like me and hardly watch anything longer than five minutes!

Very good review Darryl! I had that game when I was a kid and would have never remembered it if you hadn't posted your review.

Thanks, yeah, I know what you mean, sometimes a memory will just instantly come back from something you totally forgot about when you see it again!

Well, I did it again, this time in regards to the Submachine games, a series of very hard point and click, 'escape from the room/area' puzzle games. It's divided into two parts though, as it's pretty long, since I had eight games to go through total, as the first part is 9 1/2 minutes long, although part 2 is three minutes shorter, luckily.

Part 1 is here, and of course part 2 is also on that channel.

Wow, just got around to checking the review out, and I must say you did an awesome job (just subscribed to your channel, BTW). That game actually looks familiar. I think I MIGHT remember it, or it could be just my mind thinking of something else, as I was very young when this came out. It's funny how many space-themed things were out in the late 70's. Star Wars must have really influenced the toy industry at the time.

Do you collect board games? While I don't, it does seem like an interesting hobby. Check out my friend's collection below. Not sure it'll show up if you're not on her Facebook, but it is fantastic.

Yeah sometimes the latter could be the case...

Lotta things, which is why Moonraker came out first, rather than whatever Bond film was originally supposed to come out before it, but they decided to do a sci-fi entry in the Bond series instead.

No. There's just a few unique ones from the 70s that I enjoy, being L. Attack and Mad Magazine, that's about it...Stratego, but then that's been around for decades.

Yeah, it shows, pretty cool. Manhunt sounds intriguing, if only for the name alone! :)

I wonder if he could shed any light on Laser Attack?
