Selling the SNES...

Post by Carlos »

...to possibly obtain a Sega CDX lot (this is one of my dream systems, as I said in another post) with a nice selection of Genesis and Sega CD games. Yeah, I know, I know, I'm so indecisive. I don't know what I want! The SegaBoy in me saw the CDX and was re-awakened! :sonicthehedgehog2:

So here's the list if anyone is interested. If not, I'll prolly throw it up on CTCW.com.

* Mini SNES/SNES 2 with new AC adapter, RCA video cables, and two NEW SNES controllers
* Mega Man X
* Super Mario All-Stars
* Killer Instinct
* StarFox

Would like to sell or trade as a lot, but will sell or trade things separately if anyone is interested.

Thanks guys!

Ah, the SNES mini! Wish I had the cash for it now... :(

Have you pondered, in the future, getting the RetroDuo? That way you can still enjoy SNES games as well as NES games.

I had a FC Twin about a year ago, but didn't like it because it wasn't compatible with certain games like Castlevania 3. Besides, I'd rather have the real deal.

Sorry, I don't know off hand..........

Have you heard something that indicates compatibility issues with some CD games?

Yes. From what I've read online, there's a small handful of Genesis and CD games that won't work, the more crappy ones. Although, I loved JP CD and would love to play through it again.

WHAT A SHITLOAD OF FUCK!

So barely a week into ownership, and the SNES 2 has gone on the fritz. It won't play any of my games now. I just get black scrolling lines. I've tried alcohol and Q-Tips on the games and cart slot, checked the cables, etc, etc. It really pisses me off because it was playing KI flawlessly just a few hours ago. Oh well, at least I still have the receipt from where I bought it. Kinda sucks too because I was gonna sell it, but after getting my games today, thought about keeping it after all. I dunno. Maybe this is a sign.... :sonicthehedgehog2: or :atari2600: ? Hmmm.......

SNES not broken after all!

Post by Carlos »

Hooray! Well, it turns out the SNES Mini isn't broken after all. Turned out that the third party AC adapter I was given when I bought went out. I took it up to CGX after work today, and after testing the SNES, they tried a Nintendo branded AC adapter and it worked like a charm! Not only that, but they cleaned up my Super Mario World and NBA Jam T.E. and got those to work as well!

I guess the video game gods were smiling upon me today. I've decided to hold onto the SNES and enjoy the working system and games I've been blessed with.

Oh, a top loader! I really want one!!!

That is on my "soon to get" list. Always fancied one, but the price is always a tad high... :(
