Who here remembers God of Thunder? In my opinion, the game is massively under-rated. It doesn't have the name recognition of Commander Keen, Duke Nukem, or Jill of the Jungle, but it's so darn good. It's a Zelda clone, a genre that surprisingly hasn't been done so much for DOS. It used to be shareware, but as of 2002 it's freeware. You can download the game from this site:

My only question is how did this go so under the radar? I was considerably into the BBS scene in the early to late 90's, and don't remember hearing much about this game, if anything at all.

Sometimes it just happens. Maybe the company that released it didn't have much of an advertising budget for it?
Looks cool indeed, with all the tasks and all it's like a bunch of mini-games.
