Re: Zap! business cards
Well, I might recommend bringing the text to the front of the NES pic, so that the "S" in forums isn't partially chopped off. I'd also try using a different type of font for the head title or even a different color text. It might make it a bit more eye catching. I'm not sure if the boarde...

Zap! business cards
What do you think of this design so far? I'm going to order 1,500 cards in a couple of days. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Re: Was Ghostbusters for the SMS the first password game?
This has got me interested to the point of doing some research. If we're talking strictly consoles, then Ghostbusters missed it by a couple of months. Ace magazine puts the SMS release of Ghostbusters as the summer of 1987, which could have been June-August. Castlevania hit the U.S. in May 1987. He...

Re: Was Ghostbusters for the SMS the first password game?
Dragon Quest came out on the Famicom in 1986, and used the password feature. The US version that came out in 1987 used a battery save. I'm sure there was a 2600 game that used a password, wasn't there? US games only. :) No pre-1987 (or post-1987 for that matter) 2600 games I ever played used a pass...

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! was November/December, 1987.TwinChargers wrote:Well, Punch Out was released at some point in 87, and it too had a password. Not sure what game came first though. I'll keep searching.

Was Ghostbusters for the SMS the first password game?
Was this old Sega Master System game the very first video game cartridge ever to use the password system (at least in the US)? I have reason to believe that it is, and no one ever gives it credit for it's huge landmark. While I don't know exactly when in 1987 it was released, I bought it in April of...

Pre-Computer Space electro-mechanical games
Apparently, we've been lied to. 1971's Computer Space was not the first arcade game. Sure, it was the first true "video game" acade coin-op, but how can you deny this is an arcade game: http://www.pinrepair.com/arcade/smissile1.jpg That's Sega Missile, from 1969! Not good enough? Then How ...

Re: Longest game from start to finish
Yes, the standard version does. The extremely rare European NTSC version does have a password feature, but unlike the US version it doesn't give you the passwords between levels, and none of the US codes work on it. I couldn't find any online, so basically I had to beat it in one go, between meals,...

You can get one at this address, along with a few other Resident Evil 4 figures, and other cool replica toys. But they are pricey.

I'm a big fan of non-licensed/non "real-league" sports games. I love games like Mutant League Football/Hockey :headbang: , Saturday Night Slam Masters, RBI Baseball, Baseball Stars, Bases Loaded, Baseball Simulator 1.000, Super Baseball 2020, Double Dribble, to name a few. But RBI Basebal...

Re: Sports Titles
Anybody else here a sports fan like me? I know where ever there are video games sold, theres sure to be a few bargain sports titles there also. I know most gamers, especially "classic" gamers, hate sport titles with a passion. I'm really not too bothered by them. I have almost each one of...

A candy story
THE CANDY WRAPPER It was another Payday and I was tired of Mr. Goodbar. I saw Miss Hershey standing behind the Powerhouse on the corner of Clark and Fifth Avenue when I whipped out my Whopper and whispered, "hey Sweetheart, how'd you like to Crunch on my big hunk for a Million Dollar Bar?"...

Longest game from start to finish
What game took the longest amount of time to finish? Now, let's not count RPG's, unless they are simple and DON'T include a save or password feature. My choice would have to be either Ikari Warriors for the NES, or Rampage. What do you guys think? What other games took an insane amount of time to be...

Anyone intrested in this Wii game? Supposidly, it's coming out next month. That's soon, and I haven't seen any hands-on reviews. Anyone have any news?
