Re: Just had a long awaited major update!

Just did a semi-major update. Not sure about e-mail notifications, but everything else should be fully operational. :sid:

Board Styles

To change styles, click your name on the top right, and then click User Control Panel. Next hit Board preferences, and My board style. Right now there are three to choose from. My favorite is Aero, but Win10 is pretty cool too.

Re: Vector Runner

The original ink no longer works, but I found a new one. Still an amazing game that I'd love to add to my Arcade!

Can anyone identify this dot matrix printer next to a Neo-Geo?

I apologize for the horrendous quality, but it's the only known one that I have. First, I'll tell you what I know for certain. This was once mine, and this capture is from 1992. I got the printer in 1991. So the model is no newer than 1991, although it could be older if the stock was old. Those stip...

I consider it the first "survival horror" game, or at least the first one I played.
Haunted House might have something to say about that. :D

Any pics of the "toy computer" or is that in another thread?
Yup, works great! As for the 70's toy computer kit, it's really weird. Let me know what you think of it, here's a couple of pics:

Drove 101 miles and picked up an Amiga 500 last Friday

Long story short, it was listed as untested. A couple about 70 years old came in an SUV and met me in a parking lot. They said it was their two son's, who are now 45 and 49, and it's been sitting in their attic for decades. They said it powers on, but they couldn't test it. It just came the box, mou...

I hadn't heard of it but it looks good! I will check it out for my Galaxy Fold 3 if it's available for Android.

Need help finding an old FPS game

I don't have much to work with here, other than these facts: I downloaded it between 1994 and 1998 on a BBS, and it was for the PC (probably DOS, don't think it was Windows). Since I was not into warez, it was almost certainly PD/Shareware. It seemed to me to be realistic (so no monsters, at least i...

Devil's Third for Wii U super rare

Apparently, only 420 NA copies were initially released in 2015. Then, an undisclosed second batch was released in 2016, and that was that. Or so many thought. Right now there are zero up for auction on eBay. There are several BIN's, with the cheapest being $254 plus $10 shipping OBO. But that's a us...

Got it in January, 2016. Is this rare these days? Here's a quick unboxing. Not so professional, but hey, I had just worked a 12 hour shift lol.

Re: Arcade room is up!

Ok, so the new update of Arcade doesn't like the "aero" style. If you want to play the games again, you're going to have to switch styles. To do so, go into User Control Panel, Board Preferences, and select one of the others from My board style. I like win10, which is what the default gues...

The House Of the Rising Sun (Atari ST)

This was an amazing PD/Shareware game that had an R-rated theme. I used to play it all the time around '94. At the time, my nephew (who is only 10 years younger then me, so we were like 11 and 21) always used to watch me play video games. I had to throw him out whenever I wanted to play this game th...

Best PlayStation system

By "best" I don't mean most powerful (the current one would always win), nor do I mean the most technically advanced in its day (that would have to be the PS3), or picking one because it emulates the others. In fact, let's pretend that none are backwards compatible. I'm talking about legac...

God of Thunder (MS-DOS 1993)

Who here remembers God of Thunder? In my opinion, the game is massively under-rated. It doesn't have the name recognition of Commander Keen, Duke Nukem, or Jill of the Jungle, but it's so darn good. It's a Zelda clone, a genre that surprisingly hasn't been done so much for DOS. It used to be sharewa...
