Re: Things about your collection that irk you
Does Goo Gone help, or is that only to remove the sticky residue after you take off a label? I'm not sure. Me, is having a lot of 2600 games with just the instructions and games, no boxes. I lost just about all of them when I fell behind in storage unit rent and they were legally able to go in and s...

Re: Merchandise you've got
Unfortunately http://www.vectrex.nl/ is sold out of them. Actually mine was free since they wanted a review of Mine Storm, so I wrote one and snagged it that way ;) Hell, I wouldn't mind having their previous Berzerk t-shirt, even though I didn't like that port that much, I just liked the shirt! Hop...

Jurassic Park and The Haunting Starring Polterguy endings?
I rented, but never beat either game for the Genesis, and just wanted to know if anyone on here knows how either or both game ended. The Haunting was definitely original and funny as anything, but not that great a game; I was at the end of the game during only the first day of rental, but never got ...

Merchandise you've got
Just wondered what gaming stuff you have as it applies to...well, anything *other* than games. Sure, I've got some old gaming mags and one of the "how to win at video games" books from the early 80s and some catalogs and all. Here's a couple of t-shirts as well: http://img.photobucket.com/...

Re: Games that were previewed in gamer mags...
Panic! was very funny, along the lines of "a cartoon you control", not exactly a "game". People either laugh at it or hate it (the Video Game Critic gave it an F-; oh, come ON!). I think it's pretty funny, but unfortunately you have to take a crapload of notes for it, since with ...

Not that I hate it, but I got tired of Galaga years ago. Yes, it's one of the best bottom of the screen shooters of all time, just tired of it, is all.

Checking for classic gaming videos?
I usually check YouTube every week or two for Vectrex videos. Doing a search for "classic video games" I only do a few times a year now, since YouTube gave people the option to add search words for their channel, which sucks and takes forever now to weed out all the stuff that ISN'T game-r...

Re: Top 10 Controversial Games
Yeah I thought that was a good list when I saw that last month. Nice to see they not only had Death Race in there, but they also got the name of it right too (most stick the "2000" in there, which it was never called that!).

Re: So how many versions of ____ do you own?
I've only got a few of that one: M. Command, M. A. D. and Atlantis for the 2600, and Patriots on the Vectrex Vecmania homebrew. Believe it or not, I also only have three Pac-Man games too: the dismal 2600 one, Lock 'n Chase for the same system and Ms. Pac-Man for the Genesis. However, I plan on gett...

Well THAT'S innovative (probably cuts down on wear too), how does that work, is there some kind of switch or something that activates one cartridge and not the other?Jakenut86 wrote:Also can have 2 carts in it at once so you don't have to switch carts out all the time.

Re: Kick butt Vectrex homebrews!
That is flat-out awesome. Yep. Aside from the lack of money factor that probably all of us go through from time to time, there's no reason for ANY Vectrex owner not to have one, if not several of these. BTW, I don't mean to sound like these suffer from those annoying "too nice" review fac...

Re: Introduce yourselves!
I liked the web toes part. Heh, I get a lot of comments about that :D That happened with a YouTube video I did once. I am also extremely unique in that I am one of the few humans who can put his hand completely around his ankle. For example, put your hand (don't matter which one) on your ankle and ...

"Long forgotten"? Good grief, they only quit making that add-on just a little over 10 years ago (rolls eyes).
I doubt the 32X will ever become a big homebrew scene either. Nice to hear this though.

Anyone familiar with Phantom? I saw it at a gaming expo a couple of years ago, that was an old EMG. Stupid of me not to play it though.

Re: Do you own an arcade machine?
http://www.emuline.fr/images/dc+ArcadeStick+sega.jpg Wow, great-looking job there! Since I don't know anything about the technical aspects of owning a Tempest, that probably wouldn't be a good idea (the hardware could barely handle the game back then), lest it be in the shop a lot. I'd like to have...

Kick butt Vectrex homebrews!
I was asked about the Vectrex homebrews I own in another thread that I posted, so I thought I would do a "mini review" of them for those interested... Vecmania --nine games in all, go with the unfinished demos first: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/darrylb/miscellaneous/dueldiscs.jp...

Ha ha, yeah, I hope to find a Computer Space for (unknowlingly!) real cheap too
Actually that wasn't too bad a price paid for those two games, come to think of it, as long as they're legit.
