I noticed it last year to, I do not know why, let me be clear, 99.99% of the time on both my laptop and desktop and on every other site internet loading and browsing is fast and responsive. Now this site no matter what I do often I have to re-loin, refresh etc, when the effect or theme is applied ...

Its not a crappy system at all, just the controllers. That's like trying to blame the Jaguar for being crap for having several ports (Flashback) that weren't any better than the Genesis versions (when that was gaming companies' fault, NOT the Jaguar's) and for not exploiting the power of the system ...
