Re: Games you like that everyone else hates, or vice versa
What surprises me is the lack of love for From Russia With Love . When it comes to James Bond games, it's Goldeneye, Goldeneye, Goldeneye, but From Russia With Love to me beats the pants off of that game. Everybody that I've had play it is surprised at how good the game is, especially the multiplay...

Games you hate that everyone else likes
I never thought much of Space Invaders, and could never understand its popularity. Kid Icarus is another. I bought it in 1987 and returned it shortly after, never to have played it again. I know everyone loves the Metal Gear series, but even when it was on the NES this is one franchise I could never...

No offense, but I myself wouldn't call the $2,000 one a "handheld". Although, I'd find it somewhat funny if I saw someone trying to play one on there lap to try to prove me wrong. The forum title has been changed. Darn...I was hoping you was gonna try and prove that this was a hand...

I can't comment because I never played one.Jakenut86 wrote:I like Resident Evil 2, Duke 3D, Williams Arcade Classics, Wheel of Fortune, Scrabble, Monopoly, Frogger, Centipede, Lights out, and a few other games for the Game.Com but I don't know anyone else who does.
How about Hoops? I always liked that one.

Re: Virtual Boy
Anyone here have or ever own a Virtual Boy? Did it really give people headaches after 15-30 minutes? Are there any games worthy of a Virtual Boy purchase? I had it, and was forced to sell it last February when there was a fire at my job and I was out of work for a while. Damn, I hate tough times. :(

Looking back I should have added Sonic in there somewhere, and replaced Leon with Lara. No Sonic? BLASPHEMY! :sonic: Not on purpose, I just forgot about him. Lara too. Leon S. Kennedy isn't common, but I'm biased. http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/36/l_77a51118b8464a36907c7489030b3f2e.jpg

Im early 2001, I was forced to leave behind a non-working Kung-Fu Master when moving to a smaller place. I had it since 1989.

He's not aggressive like AVGN, but I like the fact that he knows his stuff and has a great collection. He ranks Phantasy Star (SMS game) his favorite game of all-time (it's my 2nd), so I agree with him on many things too.Rob wrote:I've seen this guy before. His enthusiasm is infective.

Re: What are some of the worst games you have played?
Superman 64- epic fail. If you can't play the game, what's the point? I always lasted about two minutes in that game. ET is seriously not as bad as it gets blamed for being. I can play this one before I can a lot of other 2600 titles. It all started when seanbaby blogged about how horrible it was, ...

Games you like that everyone else hates
Every once in a while, I disagree with the majority about gaming. I loved Rambo for the NES. Apparently, some people hate The Goonies II also, and I loved that too. So, how about you guys?

Re: Best books on Video Game History?
I have quite a few books. The Ultimate History of Vodeo Games is outstanding, but lacks pictures. Right now I've been reading The Encyclopedia of Game.Machines. Absoulutely outstanding, with tons of info and pictures. My only gripe is it fails to mention some obscure and even not-so-obscure systems ...

Re: Pre-Computer Space electro-mechanical games
That's how you can spot the makings of a good game book. Most skip right from Pinball to Computer Space, but the better ones have at least a cursory chapter on those transitional games. I think someone should write a book on just the EM games. I'd love to learn exactly how many there were and what ...

So does everyone agree it's Ghostbusters? No NES password games until late 1987, right?Rob wrote:I'm playing Dracula's Castle, a euro port of the original Castlevania on an MSX emu. It has a password feature just like the one on CVII, except not as long-winded.
