Re: Introduce yourselves!

That was the best introduction I have ever read, lmao! :DonkeyKongJr_spin: Heh, really? Like I said, I do it on all the forums I'm on! :D Where did you hear about Zap! from, Digital Press? Atari Age? Yeah, Atari Age. I was like 'must...not...join...another...forum!' But I miss talking about games, ...

Re: Introduce...your systems!

Wow, very nice collection, love the pics! How are those Vectrex homebrews? I recommend them all, although the two small ones from Fury (I, Cyborg/Vector 21) are sold out right now. George (the creator of them) said a while back he's thinking of maybe doing unlimited releases for his games at some p...

Holy CRAP! What'd those cost?

I don't think I ever saw that console in a store back in the day.

Introduce...your systems!

Probably too much for those to do that have huge system collections, but not for me, at least! Post about what systems you have and certain games that stick out for you, even if they're not severely rare or anything. What I have: Atari 2600 --about 50 games Games of merit: Indy 500, Ram It, Adventur...

Re: Another Classic gaming site - COOL!

I had the Digital Derby too :) (360 - Breaks after 2 1/2 years and Jag/2600 - Still going strong after 10+ years :) ) They didn't have discs that scratch easily either, any system with those (1990s and on, maybe a little before) just aren't going to last. Anyway, I got my Atari 7800 in '88, never st...

Switch (Sega CD), That's known as Panic! here in the States, that was the overseas name for it. I'm pretty sure both came out, I know for sure Panic! did, since I have it...one review I did can be seen on these pages (I just left the link on it's main page so you can see pics of it if you go to tha...

So how many versions of ____ do you own?

This is in regards to how many either ports or similiar-themed games you have. As I mentioned elsewhere, I've got many of the bottom of the screen shooters, i. e. Space Invaders-type games...lets see what all I have: Vectrex All Good Things--More Invaders! Vecmania--Vector Vaders Remix, Birds of Pre...

Re: Games you like that everyone else hates

Sub-Terrania for the Genesis. I've seen that up for trades before on other sites, people can't get the hang out of the constant losing of their fuel. But then, the basics of that are like Gravitar, which I also like. So that's probably why. Ram It for the 2600, which none of my friends could figure ...

Re: What's the rarest classic game you own?

Vectrex: Mr. Boston (Clean Sweep). Boxed, with overlay, missing instruction book. Oh, you must DIE! How the hell did you get your hands on that? None of my stuff's very rare; for that same system, I've got Bedlam and Spike. At least I've got the limited edition homebrews of I, Cyborg and Vector 21,...

Re: New ports of classic titles

Dig Dug Deeper (I know, sounds like a porn movie :P ) wasn't screwed up, for once. Has the same basic gameplay, but with power-ups, like a deal that'll make your pump extremely long...unfortunately in the later levels the Fygar's fire can reach several inches across too, so you have to watch out for...

Re: Favorite Game Genres

I greatly prefer 2D games over 3d environments. It seems like even if a game was crappy the fact that it was a sidescroller still made it playable. Amen to that :) When I was a kid, my favorite genre was RPGs. Now, I don't know if it's my attention span or what, but I don't like really involved gam...

Some of the (still good!) more obscure Genesis games

Not that people don't know what Star Control is, but that title was only in print for like a year or so. I was lucky to be able to get my copy of it from Funcoland years later, with the box, both sets of instruction books and everything. Heard there's several scenarios not on any other port too. A c...

Re: What's your favorite classic Atari System?

It's also one of, if not the most historically important consoles to hit these shores. Yep. It's the 2600 for me. :atari2600: However; in terms of convenience, picture quality, better joysticks, better build quality, and a smaller size, I'd have to say I favor the 7800. It plays 99% of the 2600 tit...
