Re: Nintendo 64
iirc, there's Super Mario 64, the Star Wars flying games (speeds them up and they just run smoother), and oddly enough Silicon Valley crashes with the pak in place. Also iirc, Nintendo made a 2mb expansion and I just got myself a 4mb expansion made by Pelican. No games reall benefit from the extra r...

Re: Lukemorse1 leaves Youtube on a extremely sad note :_(
Luke's been making lots of videos. I reserve my opinion, not really my place to have one, as it's really not my business to say anything about someone's stuff.
But he's been back, making small vids here and there. Some big ones, too.

Want a security job back? Send a couple of people to spraypaint a wall a few nights, you'll get a job in no time. Sad, but true. LOL! Believe me the thought crossed my mind but after 6 years doing Security I am taking this as a sign to move on to something else........ Good for you! Security is a b...

Re: PSone Combo
Word of warning, when the smaller PSOne breaks, it breaks good and is a pain to repair. No rebuilding a laser mech, straight up replacement if you can find one.
Can't say anything about the screen, but I know it's used for a lot of modding projects.

Re: Suda 51 Confirms Next No More Heroes for Next Nintendo
I read at sega-16 that a judge in France ruled that Nintendo is being too strict in it's guidelines about publishing and that it ought to be a more open platform, and compared it to the Windows OS. While it's a hardware platform and Win is more of a portable thing between many computers, watch for F...

Re: Gen Mobile - Handheld Genesis from Hyperkin
Glad I could sell you on it:) j/k, but it has been getting much better reviews as it has Sega games built in, and that snowboarder game I swear is a bad ripoff of Hang On from SMS.
When I can I'll be getting the GenMobile for myself.

Re: What's your favorite classic Atari System?
I'll go with the 7800 on this. I like it's ability to be modded, the controllers can be "imported" from another system (I have an NES converted, makes it so much easier to play than the Prolines), and it just has a look to it that really appeals to me. Plus it can play all the 2600 library...

Go ahead, is it working?
Yes, the reminder email got me to remember that I am a member here, and it worked great.

Re: Favorite (non video) games?
An acronym, Generic Universal Role Playing System. Not the greatest of rule sets, but they work. It's been a few years since I looked, but amazon's covered up with books for it. LOTS and lots of books.

Re: Favorite (non video) games?
Never been too big on board gaming, but I was loving some RPG on a tabletop. I played the 2nd Ed AD&D, the D6 Star Wars and a few GURPS games. I was a dungeon master for a long time, till I had to move.

Nice! I will bump this to keep it active. The Wii needs more talk (I'm a fan, Nin is the only one still around since The Crash).

Re: Gen Mobile - Handheld Genesis from Hyperkin
The one with the snowboarder is not licensed and I know that some of you already know, the games are below par. It's the RetroGen, and the better one getting all the good reviews is the GenMobile from Hypekin.

Looks good to me, though I have to readjust the text size (my fault, not the board's). I like!

Rob, do you have Text Tiles for the CD-i? I have it listed on gamegavel but I'll pull it for you if you like and call it reserved. It's all I have for it right at this moment. I'll let you know if anything else comes my way.

Re: Let's Discuss why we collect retro games
Mainly the technical aspect of it. I get to take broken unloved systems and make them work again, and I really like doing it. I was left out of most of the gaming scene back in the day cause of not much money for it. We had an Atari 2600 and a C64, and that was it until lately. I had friends who had...

Re: What's your favorite classic Atari System?
7800. Plays all my 2600 games and I have that really cool NES conversion controller from doubledownon11. Makes the system much more fun to play than the Prolines.
