Re: Gp2x Wiz Handheld
I'm seriously thinking about getting one myself. AFAIK this is the one that can plug into your TV via RCA output? One thing that has kept me from buying one of these linux/dingoo type portables is that I'm absolutely daft with the current emulator scene. I have a ton of emulators I burned for the Dr...

Hmmm... kudos for Stern and Cosco for this plan. Let's hope the price is right!

Re: Ooops: Activision's GoldenEye Wii and DS remake leaked
I wonder how correct this will turn out to be. I would buy it just to play Bond on Wii, although I absolutely loath the original Goldeneye.

MUCH better than the original. That game always gave me a headache trying to figure out what I was looking at.

Great vids Rob!
Low G Man really frustrated me as a kid. I bought it thinking I would like it, but I just hated it for some reason. I can't remember now why it bothered me, but I was severely upset that I had blown my birthday money on it.

Re: The 20 Worst Video Game Box Covers
Oh man, that's awesome. :Dog_Laughing: You know, Phalanx (in addition to being a great underrated shooter) always catches flak about its cover art, but I always thought it was cool, or at least original. Most people I guess just don't get the concept, but if you remember back in the late eighties an...

That doesn't surprise me. Hell- India, Africa and China combined makes up roughly half the world's population and they're the poorest regions on earth. I'm in the top 10.72% though, so I must be rich.

I thought this was a joke thread at first- I originally read Asterix as Astroids.

Re: A Closer Look at the Evolution of the Instruction Manual
Yes, great read. You know, some of those early games are damned near unplayable without the instruction manuals. And I miss the old Atari books the most, because like the author pointed out, because in some instances, like the manuals to Haunted House and the Swordquest series, were more entertainin...

Oh man, that box is SO 70's. It almost looks like a fake box that someone designed as a background prop on That Seventies Show. Sort of like "Let's make a stereotypical box that looks like every record cover from 1971!" I just recently replaced my stolen Fairchild Channel F and it came wit...

Re: Bally Videocade DEMO game cartridge (1977)
LOL, that was me over at the DP thread (Astrocade is my name over there). I don't have a working Astrocade anymore (how ironic huh?) :) but as I recall it's the two games built into the Astrocade (Gunfight and I think an Asteroids clone) on an endless demo loop. Each game gets like two minutes of pl...

That's cool, but I'm not sure about the dual format with Movie Fan. That mag sucks. I liked GameFan better than Play though, so I'm glad to see it back.

That game looks great! Too bad I don't
A) do PC gaming
B) own a current-gen console
C) see myself doing either in the near future.
I hate digital downloads! I want a frigging disc to insert into the console and press START.

I'm kind of scared to get another subscription! I had 18 issues left on a 24 issue subscription and nobody wants to refund me or honor the rest of the sub.
I too am glad Steve Harris is back, but I'm kind of leery about subscribing at this point.

Well I like that it's squarebound again, but I payed 6.99 for it off the newsstand and was kind of disappointed. Maybe I shouldn't have purchased it along with Retrogamer...
