I heard abut it in November or so and finally was able to get one. Walgreens had it buried behind the nicely stacked stuff in a large mess, and I am so glad-- it has an SD card reader that I can now play these homebrews on! The card reader is its only saving grace, though, it has terrible emulation in most games.
Had to say something about it, MaximumRD told me to Okay, he didn't but I want to try to be a more active member here.

It's a clone system made by a Brazil company, AtGames, fully licensed by Sega. Very small and not much to it, kind of like a nintendo on a chip (NOAC) so I guess it's a SOAC. Emulator in a box, too. Not bad as far as clones go, there have been worse ones out there.
The sound made by it is not that good, and the playing of the games can be glitchy.
It has an SD card reader on it, so you can use roms from the internet. There is a website on the box for downloading roms, but so far I haven't been able to load it and it says it's a bad address.
I made a video, lots of folks have, so you can see it in action a little.

It ticks off the purists but it's what to expect in this day and age from a re-release. All in all not bad.

I know! And it looks like they have been developing the Mega Drive for quite some time. Check out Guitar Idol, a 16-bit MD based Guitar Hero, comes with a guitar controller and the console looks like an amp. Also the MD3 and SMS2 and 3. There is a slew of hardware in Brazil and all over S. America to choose from. Also games released that nobody has ever heard of outside of Brazil. I love them for that. Okay, the MD Clone Works and the women, they're hot, too.

Yes, a veritable cornucopia of MD stuff down there
