Please give your opinions, participate, pass on this video topic to others. To all my subscribers and anyone else feel free to participate. Would LOVE VIDEO RESPONSES but at the very least leave a comment. the question is: If you could only have one console or system or computer or handheld, one to collect for and/or play on from now until the end of days WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? The only rule is none of the current generation systems/computers/handhelds or consoles.
So I am EXCLUDING NDSi/PSP/PSPgo/Wii/360/PS3/Modern PC/ModernMAC, all modern and current systems! ANYTHING ELSE PRIOR TO THOSE IS APPLICABLE. I don't care if you choose PS2, Gameboy, Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, 3D0, Dreamcast, or friggin Bandai Pippin lol! Give me your choice, your opinion of the one system of choice and please give details as to WHY you make that choice, please back up your choice with reason and details! THANKS IN ADVANCE to all who participate in anyway!

Re: There can be only ONE...
I chimed in! I say (and forgive me if this is cheating), but I choose a Dreamcast which is pretty much capable of emulating any console that came before it. Plus, it's an actual console (no comments from the Mac/PC peanut gallery) and it's a classic in its own right. It also requires no modding to play emulator collections/backup copies, which is something the XBox/Playstation crowd will never be able to say. So I chose the DC, and by extension, every console that came before it.
If that's a lame choice and I couldn't claim all the emu discs, I would say the NES is probably the greatest system of all time.

Re: There can be only ONE...
It's funny but I keep mentioning to some who have left comments who feel they are cheating by choosing Dreamcast or a modded Xbox etc. It's all good and fair game, by the rules set by my question the only limits / restrictions I set were no current gen consoles or platforms otherwise anything goes! If it is capable of using a mod or boot CDr's or use a multi cart then hey that's fine! Whatever can be done or used to make your choice more capable is cool. I still think a lot of careful thought has to go into ones choice.................

Re: There can be only ONE...
Believe it or not, I have a different take on this, unless someone posted a similiar response...
This answer's too difficult, but I might choose the PlayStation 2...even though I've never played one before. The reason? I wouldn't have to automatically pass over a bunch of games I had already played and got sick of years ago on consoles I currently own (2600, Vectrex), for one thing. There's also emulation available for it (I think? Or at least several compilation discs), games still being made for it, and tons of new ones I've never played. So it'd work pretty well for me! (waits for time to end with PS2 controller in my hand)

Re: There can be only ONE...
Pretty much sums up my reasons for choosing PS2.....it's simply the console I already have the most games for, plus is BC with PS1....................Darryl B. wrote:Believe it or not, I have a different take on this, unless someone posted a similiar response...
