I picked both games today after work. Haven't played Griffey yet. I never played SPO until today. Man, what a fun game. Plays just like the original, and the characters are great. Bob Charlie and Dragon Chan are hilarious, although Chan's jump kick is retarded as shit...
THERE'S NO FUCKING KICKING IN BOXING!!!!!
Super Punch-Out!! and Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run
Re: Super Punch-Out!! and Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run
I like Super Punch Out. I never could figure why this series didn't develop into a franchise. Just think, we missed a Punch Out game on the Game Boy platforms, the N64, Game Cube, etc and are just now getting the goods on the Wii.

I can't wait for the Wii version. One of the very few Wii games I'm really looking forward to.

Yeah, whats the deal with that? I'm pretty sure that the two games were good sellers for Nintendo, the fact its been 15 YEARS since the last is poor decision making on there part. Were there even rumors or prototypes floating around about making a Punch Out prior to the Wii?Rob wrote:I like Super Punch Out. I never could figure why this series didn't develop into a franchise. These pretzels are making me thirsty!

I don't recall hearing any planned PO! related releases in that time frame.
I'd also hate to think that the main reason for the new Punch Out revival was based on the N**ga Stole My Bike craze from the last couple of years.

I have to either hook up my SNES or d/l the game for the Wii (800 points). I loved this version. What's funny is Nintendo seems to be revision it with revisionist history. They now claim Little Mac was the main guy, when he looked nothing like him, and there was no Doc Louis in sight.
