Jesus has returned and he's a soda now!

BS about anything you like in here, as long as it's not TOO controversial

Jesus has returned and he's a soda now!

So after two weeks of searching high and low, one of my local Wal-Marts finally got Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback in 20oz. bottles.

For those not in the know, Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback are essentially the sodas with natural sugar instead of corn syrup like it was in the 60s and 70s.

Being the big fan of Pepsi and their products that I am (I hate the taste of Coke), I've been dying to get my hands on this stuff. Tonight, I finally got that opportunity....

I haven't tried the Mountain Dew yet, but Pepsi Throwback is simply amazing. The first thing I noticed is that it's a lot "smoother". It just goes down real easy. Also, it seems to have the perfect amount of sweetness. It doesn't knock you on your ass like the original Pepsi sometimes can with it's Godlike sweetness. I don't know how else to describe it. To me, it just tastes perfect. I will definitely buy more in the future. If you're a Pepsi fan like me, be sure to give it a try.

Great gosh almighty the new "Old" Pepsi is amazing. The Mountain Dew sucks though! I'll drink the regular Dew over this shit any day, but the Pepsi is the bomb diggity, kid.

My Wal-Mart finally got some in yesterday (Friday). Too bad they only come in cans and it's a limited thing. PepsiCo doesn't want people jizzing in their pants when they see 16 oz glass bottles full of cane sugar Pepsi, so they downplay it by putting it in a can. That's my guess, anyway. :)

How long is this supposed to be on sale, anyway? And isn't this like a month later than it was supposed to come out?

It funny you mention that because the 12 pack of cans were non-existent. I wanted those to put in my lunch for work, lol.

I have yet to see these around here.

Weird too, since the mayority of soda drinks are exported from PR to US!

I tried the Moutain Dew Throwback late last night. I love it. It tastes just like Pepsi Throwback. Very smooth taste and not overly sweet like the original. The amount of sweetness is just right.

Rob, to answer your question, from what I've read, it's supposed to be out for 6-8 weeks according to Pepsi Co.

I enjoy some of the stronger canadian beers, I have a high tolerance for alcohol especially beer so I don't bother with light beer, I'll take it if offered (I wont refuse any beer lol!) but it would take at least a 12 pack before I even started to feel it. My wife on the other hand is pretty comical after a couple glasses of wine.

Well, it seems that there is no chance of this getting to PR...I asked the delivery guy and even though he has heard of it, he mentioned that there are no plans to market it in PR.

I hope he is lying or wrong...I really want to taste it. :(

Don't worry, Kirby. Most of the time the delivery guys are more clueless than the people that don't work for the company. (I delivered Coke for awhile, and I didn't know jack squat about new drinks until they ended up on my truck.)

I really hope so, Rob. :)

All I know is that if I find any for sale, I will be sure to pick up at least $30 worth :)

Ahh, but that's a myth. Light beer contains the exact same amount of alcohol as regular beers. In the 5.5% range is the standard. What's the percentage on the Canadian strong beers you drink? I have drank some malt liquer beers when I was younger that are in the 8% range, and they are gross.

Here light beers average 4%, "normal beer" averages 5%, I tend to look for the beers starting at 6%..........
