Toki and Joe and Mac coming in HD

Who says a game has to be from a commercial company to be good? For those with an anti-corporate leaning, there's nothing like a game from an amateur programmer, especially long after the system has been supported.

Toki and Joe and Mac coming in HD

Post by triverse »

Golgoth Studios is doing a remake of Toki and one for Joe and Mac in HD.

Toki is by far the farthest along of the two games, there are pics, videos and such.

Thought you guys would be interested in these. I am working on covering them for PPG as they get closer to release. Toki looks great so far, kind of wish I was a bigger fan of the original.

I honestly can't remember Toki. What system did it originally come out for?
One burning question that will remain with him until his dying days....."Was my victory really worth the price I had to pay?"

Well it was originally a platformer arcade game. Wasn't a huge hit and was only ported around a little (the Genesis). I think the difficulty level was fairly high.

I only saw it once, where it had some ape (the full name of it was "Toki: Going Ape Spit", yum!) running around with a football helmet on his head, which I was like 'wtf?'
