E-mail problems

Post by Zap! »

The board is still having problems with sending e-mail. Apparently, no one is getting any conformation or new topic posts e-mails. I am expiramenting and sending test e-mails.In the meantime, I set it up so new users don't have to use e-mail conformation (a spammer's dream). If anyone got any mail, let me know.

I must have signed up before the change to not having to get email conformation. I did get the email to join :)

My confirmation email finally came through. It was sent at 5:51 am but didn't hit my mailbox until about 9:30.

I sent myself a test e-mail last night, and got it hours later. Very weird...

Well, I am using my e-mail address from Verizon FIOS, with their SMTP settings. I take it Verizon is the problem. Are there any other free e-mail accounts that give the user SMTP settings?

Just did a quick search and found a short list of free SMTP email accounts.

Awesome, I just got topic reply information e-mail (you will too as long as it's set). Now the next thing to fix is the signatures, then adding smileys. :)
