Re: The Games That Weren't

Pretty good subject material, definitely!

So I take it they go back to the 2600 days and all? It goes through many years?

Yeah, I think it looks cool too. Too bad about the multiple delays though.

Re: Nothing like logging onto a BBS on the original hardware!

I need to watch more myself. Someone posted about it years ago and I only watched part 1. But then at times I'd forgotten about it.

And you're welcome! It was pretty well done.

Re: Where is everyone?

I've been meaning to bump this for a while to see how people are doing in these COVID times. Yech. (Things aren't bad here for me, except my sister and brother-in-law are visiting with their hyper dog that's causing a lot of trouble.)

Re: Nothing like logging onto a BBS on the original hardware!

I got into that myself in 1987. Just about all ASCII text there with very few sounds in general!

There's a BBS documentary on YouTube that's supposed to be pretty good. I've only just seen part 1. Should see more, now that I've been reminded of it :)

Re: Kick butt Vectrex homebrews!

Not of my collection, some a couple of slideshows. I *should* be getting a video camera in 2022. The very first thing I'm doing is getting a video of the end of Vectrexians, the Galaxian clone, because the guy who made it offered a one-off special edition of the game to the first person who beat it ...

Re: So what kind of cell phone do you guys have?

^Pretty good resolution on that indeed. A lot has clearly changed in 9 and half years lol! :Dog_Laughing: Yep. I actually have a phone I can play games on now, of all things! :D It's just an iPhone 6S though (the 13's been out for a few months now). My brother-in-law is visiting and I'm getting my f...

Re: Preserving arcade history

Thought I'd give this a bump, as a bunch of pages were added over the last few months from people on a forum, one of which is the current Arcade of the month, being the Ridgemont Mall arcade from the Fast Times at Ridgemont High movie. Yep, the wiki takes fictional arcades too! There are also pages ...

Re: Kick butt Vectrex homebrews!

Well, I've gotten several more since my last post on here :D V-Frogger is one. Even though quite the classic, I got sick of the original Frogger years ago, but upon playing V-Frogger at a gaming expo I played a couple of games' worth of it. The levels are different so I enjoyed it all over again onc...
