Re: How about a chat room?

An expiramental chat room has been added to the main page at http://www.zaponline.org/. I will add it to the forums as soon as I decide if it's the right chat room. Let me know how you guys like it!

Re: Issues 1,2 and 3 general observations

No. I don't remember where I got that code from, but I didn't make it up. I think it was in an issue of a major magazine. Oh, I wasn't implying you made it up- all the kids in my class knew about the code and knew somebody (usually their cousin) that got it to work, but nobody was able to actually ...

Re: So...

How long before sites like this really take off? I see we haven't really gotten much in terms of newer members lately which is somewhat unfortunate. I like the group of people we have currently, but it seems like we could have some really great threads and post if we had a few more people here. I s...

Re: Anyone here a baseball fan?

Well, as my name implies, I'm a Twins fan. Have been all my life. I like how they are built on there strong farm system and don't necessarily have to rely on free agency to win games. Really like there team this upcoming season, and think they got a good chance to win the division if they can hold ...

I'm a HUGE baseball fan. NY Yankees all the way in '09! :wav:

Re: Highest priced console

My mom paid $600 for my Neo-Geo for my 18th birthday in 1990. It wasn't my money, but the system was (and still is) mine, so does that count?

Re: FC Mobile portable NES player

I didn't get one simply BECAUSE the button placement was reversed. There's an easy fix for the console version that takes the Genesis/Nes/Super NES games but it only works on Nintendo cartridges. The Super NES games still play backwards. This would kill whatever fun I'd get from owning one. I don't...

Usually on eBay, sometimes off Atari Age. I have also been to the Digital Press store in Clifton, NJ. About 45 minutes away from me.

Re: Games you hate that everyone else likes

On Wii Sports, I am a tennis guy. I don't like boxing much at all. Bowling is great too. Baseball and golf are ok. Will you be getting Punch-Out!! Wii? You don't look forward to punching out King Hippo with your own fists? Which Star Wars game did you hate? I loved Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, b...

Re: I got a PS3 today

I got a PS3 for Christmas and sold it after a month. There's just no real quality games for it right now. The top games available for it are also available on the 360. The only exception is Little Big Planet. That game is a blast, especially if you have other people to play with. The Dark Knight is...

Re: Issues 1,2 and 3 general observations

As you guys know Ter sent out the first wave of the Zap! reprints and I've been having a blast going through them while I've had the time. It's a real treat, as I only ever had three issues of the original run, so most of these are new to me. Here's some of my general thoughts concerning the first ...

Re: Anyone ever seen or owned one of these?

I'm bored and was looking around and noticed on the prototype section a system called NEMO which I had never heard of, when I looked it up I didn't find to much info on it but I did find some info on this system which also used VHS cassettes. It's called an Action Max and only played light gun game...

Re: Intellivision Intellivoice Module

I find it amazing that they kept the system going until 91. I can't find any new game releases after 89, but even that was a good run. Seems that while I was doing the research I found out about a lot of unreleased games. Wonder what happened to all of them? And a side note, for it being a 16 bit s...

Re: RCA Studio II

I wonder how the people at RCA came to choosing "Studio II" for the name. From what I've read, there never was a "Studio 1" available. Wonder if RCA has (or had) two prototypes and this, the second one, was the one chosen to go out to the market. If the II was the one picked, I ...

Re: The name that classic game thread!

That appears to be to detailed for a 2600 game. It's either an 8-bit computer game, or an INTV, CV, or 5200 game. Hmm. Cloak and Dagger!
