Re: Some of the (still good!) more obscure Genesis games
Yeah, I think it was based on 8-bit binary (every 8 characters making a letter or something that you could decipher clues from). I will check around and see if I can find some FAQs for it as I am sure that others have done way better at tranlsating it than I did.

Re: I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
Thank you very much Ter, I am proud to say, Bill was very happy and he is very thankful that others outside of Retromags were willing to help with the release of his works. I have passed on the information about your forums here so he may stop by and say hi or something (he has been busy covering Co...

Re: Some of the (still good!) more obscure Genesis games
Rocket Knight Adventures came out during the time that all publishers were gunning for a mascot to carry their company much like Sonic and Mario (anyone remember playing Ocean's Mr. Nutz? Awesome game). The problem is, most people that didn't live through that period of gaming, those looking back no...

Re: I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
Going to post everything tomorrow. Wasn't quite able to gather up what I wanted but something is better than nothing and is a stepping stone to getting it completed. Thank you Ter for your help, I will make sure to uphold my promise of crediting in the posts. It is surely going to be something great...

Ralph Baer The Father of Videogames interviewed at Retromags
Hey everyone, I just released an interview with Ralph Baer, The Father of Videogames, for anyone that is interested in knowing some more about the man that created the Simon, the technology for the CD-i (way back in 1978 mind you) and many many other technologies we take for granted today. http://ww...

Re: I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
I have those two and they look awesome, I have a image extractor here so I can get them out no problem. I will keep looking for a program that can make PDF's (there are a surprising number of people that prefer that format for some reason-probably the fact that PDF's are widely supported with little...

Re: I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
Ter, thank you so much for your help. I will make sure it is duly noted in the release information. I can extract the images for the RM CBZ/CBR release could you possibly make a PDF out of multiple images? That would help out a lot too as we have an increasing number of members that prefer PDF's.

Re: Is there a system that plays both SNES and Super Fami games?
There was a system made years ago, a clone of sorts, that would play N64, SNES, and SFAM carts, there were slots for each. I am trying to find info on it now.

Re: I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
Thank you so much for your help with this. You are the only person that is actually coming through with anything out of about 30 that claim they would help (and this has been going on for about 2 months and no support yet from them).

Re: I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
Hey Ter, If you could scan the TKR from the October 92 and March 1993 issues those are needed badly. Here is a list so far of what I have, counting yours there Ter (I am counting the April 1993 TKR as a donation from you since it is your issue now-I scanned it awhile back when I first got permission...

I need your help guys with a special gift for an Icon
OK, here is the deal, Bill Kunkel is celebrating his birthday later this month and I have been trying to gather all of the articles he wrote for Electronic Games (the 90's edition). The article in question right now is "The Kunkel Report" there was one in each issue of EG and I have about,...

Re: So I got laid off again today :(
Carlos, go down and file unemployment tomorrow/today. Don't wait. Do it immediately. I live in Arkansas and here the boss can fire you for no reason whatsoever (as far as telling you, the employee-they have to give the unemployment office a reason). File the paperwork, if nothing else it may make th...

Re: The Game Doctor makes a house call at Retromags
Just a quick bump here to let everyone know what is going on. We are preparing for the first Official releases from Bill Kunkel (we are starting with "The Kunkel Report" from the 90's Electronic Games as a gift to Bill-it is a column that he felt really happy with and his birthday is comin...

Re: Were you ever in a video gaming magazine?
I am glad I could help with that (had it not been for me joining RM I would have probably unloaded most of these magazines on ebay already). I apologize again, for it taking me so long in getting that to you (I ended up getting tied into several things, the interview being the first that I can offic...

Re: Were you ever in a video gaming magazine?
Oh Ter....I have something for you. My apologies for taking so long (I rescanned it several times and this is the best of the scans-which didn't come out that great but I hope you like it). I plan on debinding the issue later so that I may get better scans of other things in that issue and will make...

Re: The Game Doctor makes a house call at Retromags
Thank you Rob. That article sums up many many years of work, many before I even joined Retromags, and was amazing to write. I have been working with Bill on some other things and look forward to seeing how the community reacts to his ideas and suggestions. He truly is a great guy, easy going and dow...
