Re: Atari Lynx

I've never come across a Lynx in the wild. The one I have I actually bought when I was a kid- it was on clearance at Sears for 19.99. I never had many games for it, and no one I knew had one. It had good graphics but zero battery life compared to the gameboy, which is what helped to kill it.

Re: One minor request

Ah, left handed code. It's all a conspiracy!

It's no big deal, though- it just takes me awhile to get used to new things. I plan on getting a 360 sometime around 2011.

Re: Adventure II

Hopefully your controllers are still working :o

I was never able to get into the original Adventure, but a good friend of mine has Adventure II on an emulator, and really enjoys it. The gameplay certainly looks smoother than the original Adventure.

Re: The Dendy (Russia's NES/Famicom)

I don't think it used a 72 pin, but I'm not positive. I believe I read it in Retro Gamer.

As for the PAL NES, I have a UK edition that is identical to ours, except it says NES Edition on the door.

+1 on Sunset Riders! One of my all time favorite arcade games, and I really like the Genesis version as well. The SNES version is good too, I just played the Genny more at the time.

One minor request

It seems like the "save" and "submit" buttons are switched. Either that or I'm just so used to the "submit" button being the first one on the left that I keep hitting "save" thinking I've submitted the post!

Re: Nintendo 64

Well, it's definitely a classic system in the truest sense of the word, just like I consider the Dreamcast to be classic. It's kind of tricky to stage the shift that occurred in systems at the time... like you had the N64, the PSone, and the Jaguar at the same time. But then comes the Dreamcast, whi...

Re: Famicom and Disk System

My problem is that I have two famicoms and neither of them work. I have a few games that came bundled with them and I'm not sure what they are.

Is there a common "bug" on these consoles, like on the NES Toaster where the 72-pin is always glitching?

Yes, it seems the more lifelike games get the less "fun" they are.

Re: EGM is gone! :(

Yes, that would truly be the end of an era. NP has supposedly been in hot water for several years now, and they've been bought and sold two or three times in the last few years- almost like EGM. Honestly I can do without NP; I buy them out of nostalgia. I have a near complete run and I don't want an...

Welcome, Matt!

I see we got bit by the Atari bug the same year. Pretty funny when the pundits consider 1985 a "dead" year in videogaming- a year that nobody played videogames, except apparently we guys who are into retrogaming now...

Zombies Ate My Neighbors

I've been playing the crap out of this game lately. I've come to regard it as one of, if not my absolute favorite Super NES game. It was good on the Genesis as well, but the SNES model holds a closer spot in my heart. IMHO it's one of the most underrated games out there, if you've never played it it...
