Man, even looking on YouTube there is no gameplay video. Was the game that rare or did nobody ever care to play it?

Re: MaxRD Inside Series Ep 1 COLECOVISION

Hey Rob, you should show the Colecovision again after you've cleaned it up.

Hope also that you keep this series going, and perhaps bring back your "Just Saying" series also. Liked the first and unfortunately only other one you had.

I take it wasn't ever produced? Never saw it for sale anywhere (but at a $600 pricepoint, its not like many would have bought anyways).

Re: One Must Fall 2097

I remember having the shareware version of this on a CD that also had Duke Nukem II, Blake Stone, Jazz Jackrabbit, Tubes, Wacky Wheels... other Apogee classics. Played the heck outta that disc. OMF 2097 was a great game, but at the time I was all about Blake Stone. Bought both "Aliens of Gold&q...

Re: PSone Combo

From what I've seen they can be had online in the area of $50-$80. Not too shaby considering the library size and overall reliablity. Just make sure the LCD isn't a knockoff and its a Sony brand since I have read that those are the significantly better ones. I'd guess you could get one at a pawn sho...

PSone Combo

Just getting your guys opinion on Sonys last gasp for the original PlayStation. It was the small PSone with the combo LCD screen. Kinda desiring a semi-portable system that I could play while the kids watch TV or before I go to bed. Given the PS1 library it has to be one of the largest (behind GameB...

Well, to update I picked one of these up at a Pawn Shop for I believe $10. The cashier chick behind the counter said she's never even seen this "game" before.

Re: Your oldest Video Game related item.

According to wikipedia (take it for what its worth) the Telstar Marksman was made in 1978. It also says that the Channel F was made from 1976 to 79.

Have you played much of the Fairchild Channel F? It predates the 2600 by a year, is it a decent console or more of a "collectors item".

Re: Gaming in extreme temperatures

Yeah, here in MN in the winter we can easily get well below zero for long periods of time. -20 isn't out of the question. Its in a garage, so wind chill obviously won't be a factor. It appears as if the roof has no leaks by looking for water spots on the ceiling, so it'll be dry. If anything maybe I...

Re: Sears Video Arcade

You know MaximumRD, you being the big Colecovision fan that you are, I would have figured that you would have had the expansion module that allows you to play Colecovision to play 2600 games. After watching your youtube vid for the 4th or 5th time, what are your thoughts on the joysticks included? A...

You could very well be right. Its odd that they kept that option on the system up until 89 on the 2600 Jr. when b&w, while not obsolete, were definitely in the minority though.

Re: 1st or 3rd person person shooters

I still remember playing my very first first person shooter, it was Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold. It was so cool blasting a bad guy and seeing them blow up in the most violent fashion and seeing there bloody remains just sitting on the ground. Not too long after did I play Heretic, Doom, Wolfenstien,...

Re: Gaming in extreme temperatures

Yeah, I know that this isn't the ideal situation, but if its the only option I have its what I'll end up having to do.

I'm pretty sure my wife won't let me keep one of the kids out in the garage instead just so I can have a controlled temperature game room.
