Re: So when did making the home arcade stop?

Around here, arcades died when they were charging $1 OR MORE to play the games. Most realized that it just wasn't worth paying so much for a quick play, so it eventually died over here.

However, one location I know put EVERY game for 25 cents a play...and they are still packed to this day.

Re: Jesus has returned and he's a soda now!

I have yet to see these around here.

Weird too, since the mayority of soda drinks are exported from PR to US!

Re: Anyone subscribe to Gamepro?

So, if Carlos saw a new one on the stands, but nobody that subscribes is receiving them, I guess it's safe to assume that Gamepro is run by a bunch of crooked screw ups? Always been that way, IMO. I remember when they started acting like british gaming mags...flamming every person who sent them a l...

Re: Selling the SNES...

Oh yea, I'm definitely holding on to it, and prolly gonna get a NES top loader for my next system for my birthday (it's in September *hint, hint* :nescartridge: ) Oh, a top loader! I really want one!!! That is on my "soon to get" list. Always fancied one, but the price is always a tad hig...

Re: Anyone subscribe to Gamepro?

Unfortunately, I don't like GamePro. I had a subscription, but it was a free one year subscription. Did not miss it much, though I did wish I had another year for free. :)

Re: Mega Man 9

I downloaded, finished like two levels, and abandoned it.

Not because of difficulty (because it was), but because of lack of interest on the Wii. It's the only console I have of this generation, and I barely play it.

Re: I can't stand Amazon sellers!

Truth be told, shipping to Hawaii or Alaska can be a pain in the ass. It once took over a month for me to get a Nintendo Power issue to Hawaii. I kept writing the guy to find out if he got it, and he was like "Don't worry, it could take weeks to get here." That's pretty shitty IMO. I can ...

Re: Awesome find at swap meet

This is just a wild guess, but since those handhelds were sold in the "Bayamon Pueblo" area, I pressume to be from China. No company per se, just generic clones.

I have one, one that was supposed to talk, but I barely use it. I hope to find and take pictures of it in the next few days.

Re: I can't stand Amazon sellers!

Wow that really sucks, people are ignorant. Did you support statehood for PR when it was up a few years ago? That would have changed things. I did, but even then, people still preffered the "ELA" thing. Ugh... But even then, those same sellers won't even ship to Hawaii or Alaska! So I wou...

I can't stand Amazon sellers!

So I go to Amazon to search for good game deals, and I notice that some sellers offer the same game I am looking for at a great price. "Cool!", I say, thinking that everything will turn out great in the end. But it's far from it. Many sellers, all thanks to Amazon themselves, refuse to shi...

Ah, the brick game!

Dom had that many years ago. At one point the screen started to leak for no apparent reason...it wasn't even cracked!

You will surely enjoy it, Ter. :) Just remember to use VERY good batteries, as the game has this tendency of eating them fairly quickly.

Re: Some of the (still good!) more obscure Genesis games

I don't think it's as obscure, but I really liked El Viento and Traysia. The first game was rock hard, but it was great from beggining to end. Traysia was too easy, but it was a memorable adventure.

Have you pondered, in the future, getting the RetroDuo? That way you can still enjoy SNES games as well as NES games.

Re: More SNES games

Does the battery to Super Mario Allstars work? I never quite understood the combo breaking system. I just don't know with what the opponent starts his attack with, so choosing the correct button to break it is kinda hard to figure out. I know it's possible, but I'm not going to spend hours trying to...
