Re: AT&T predicts the future in 1993

Wait a minute! 90% of those innovations involve a touchscreen of some sort! Where is that future? We are still using remotes, we are stuck in the 80's still with new age technology. Time to do something about how we interact with that technology.

Re: Microsoft: 360 may not even be at mid-cycle yet

The failure rate of the 360 is the one reason I haven't moved to this generation of consoles (I really wanted to too, especially to support the retro releases that I like but not with that kind of failure rate going on).

Re: Dragon Warrior

Dragon Quest 1 is my fave because it follows the style I prefer while playing RPG's, controlling a single character. No having to have 400 healing potions on hand for 4+ members of my party to stay alive and such. It is indeed hard. Though, for me, it was quite a bit easier in the second half, proba...

Re: Zap! forums turns one year old!

I like the slower pace to the forums, we have a similar speed going on at Out-of-Print as far as activity. While it may seem slow and such, it also makes for a more laid back, easier to feel a part of community (not feeling like I have to check the forums every 5 minutes just to keep up with the goi...

Toki and Joe and Mac coming in HD

Golgoth Studios is doing a remake of Toki and one for Joe and Mac in HD. http://www.golgothstudio.com/ Toki is by far the farthest along of the two games, there are pics, videos and such. Thought you guys would be interested in these. I am working on covering them for PPG as they get closer to relea...

Re: 3,000 posts!

I am not here as often as I would like but I do want to say, this is a great site, you guys are cool and great to talk to (believe me, I have been on some forums, and even left some recently, where new members have to be scared to post for fear of getting yelled at for nothing). 5,000 posts is just ...

I don't think that anyone has figured out how to slipstream with Vista yet (I am sure they have, I am just not in the right circle to hear about it, lol).

Re: Checkout Off World Extreme on Sega Saturn.......

The Mystery Science Theater 3000 stuff was planned. It is in the original 3DO version and is also in the PSOne version of this game. I wish they would have done more in that style, if not Crystal Dynamics (now part of Eidos) then with other companies doing it.

Re: Whew, had a nasty Trojan and couldn't use the computer

Glad to see the forums are back up. Great to be able to drop in and talk with everyone here. Ter, have you tried "slipstreaming" your programs into the Windows XP install? I know you can get AIM, Firefox, the newest IE (if you wanted it) and about 3000 other programs in the correct format ...

Re: Pixel Perfect Gaming is live

PPG has been receiving so much traffic (it and Out-of-Print Archive) and we have been forced into a mandatory server upgrade. We have been down for, well, now 3 days. GoDaddy needs to get their act together on this situation really, it is getting old. lol I apologize for it being down (seems that I ...

Pixel Perfect Gaming is live

Hey guys, just wanted to mention that Pixel Perfect Gaming (http://www.pixelperfectgaming.com) is now live and actually thriving quite well, we just passed our first month of being online back on the 22nd. Still a brand new site but we are moving along nicely. Let me know what you guys think of it. ...

I am sure you guys have heard about this already

I scooped Kotaku (by 5 hours and I even tipped them off to the news) about EGM coming back in December. I posted it at 9:24 pm on the 25th and Kotaku picked it up at about 2:30 am this morning. http://unnamedgaming.com/?p=8938 I can't say anymore than what is said in the article as to where the news...

Re: Top 5 hardest NES games

Talk about being late to this party, I think that the Dragon's Lair game on NES was hard, I mean, come on, what was up with that turning animiation?

Ter, Ghosts n Goblins on NES required you to beat it twice too. Why?

Classic Video Gamer Magazine interview that I did

I am extremely proud to announce that I was able to corner Mike (STGuy1040 on Atari Age and Retromags) and get him to answer some questions about his magazine, Classic Video Gamer. We discussed many things, not only about ClassicVGM, but on his life, wife and the strife of not only starting but cont...
