Re: Anyone want to read Electronic Games #1?

Thank you Rob for the intended offer of donating. :) It is just as good hearing that people are enjoying the releases and posts like yours goes a long ways to keeping people willing to do what they can. Just a heads up, if you think the release of EG #1 was big, I have a bigger news announcement com...

Re: Were you ever in a video gaming magazine?

Hey Ter, I have good news. I found one of the reviews of your fanzine. I see there was another fanzine that was named the same but with an extra 'p' any connection with them? I will scan the page for you ASAP. I apologize for taking so long in getting this to you, I have been extremely busy preparin...

Anyone want to read Electronic Games #1?

Electronic Games #1 has just been released to the wild on Retromags for those interested. We are proud to present EG #1 with an interview with the person responsible for going way WAY out to get it. Just so everyone knows, we are only missing 4 newer issues of it (still from the early 80's run) to h...

Retromags review of Classic Video Gamer Magazine #1

I have just posted a review of Classic Video Gamer Magazine on Retromags, if you don't want to read the review (which I think is pretty good) you can go straight to their site and get your copy at www.classicvgm.com. If you want to read the review of this great issue and see some preview pics of a f...

What could arguably be the hardest to acquire, rarest issue that has been released on Retromags has recently been made available. The grand daddy of gaming magazines, don't miss out on it! Re: Good Dreamcast Games??

I gave my father in-law my Dreamcast and while he has been enjoying it quite a lot, I do have a question. He is into UFC and such, was there any type of 3D fighting games along those lines for the Dreamcast that I could get him to play?

Re: Sega to debut new system, code-named Sammy

What if Sega were to basically repackage the Dreamcast with more RAM and a faster CPU, DVD drive and some form of internal storage (or make it compatible with USB and memory cards like SD or Compact Flash)? Throw in a set of wireless controllers like the Wii nunchucks and such and they have an inexp...

Retromags review of Retroaction #2 is up

Just thought you guys may be interested in a really cool, very reminiscent of Gamefan, e-zine that is free, just goto http://www.retroactionmagazine.com/ and download it. Here is the review I wrote for it at Retromags if you want to get a preview before taking the plunge and downloading it: http://w...

Re: We now advertise on ChaseTheChuckwagon.com!

I thought I saw one of your ads on CTCW the other day. What about advertising with these new e-zines that are coming out now? Maybe you could do a write up with NintendoAge, they are a community driven site that produces an e-zine, if nothing else, maybe you could place an ad with them for it or on ...

What is considered a "casual" console? I am interested in seeing what they can do with this though.

Re: Congratulate OR Weep for me! Soon to be CDi OWNER!

If you count PC's you can get all kinds of Nintendo owned IP's on it. At least in Japan where they let Hudson Soft make a truly crappy version of Super Mario Bros 1-it was covered in Hardcore Gamer, the issue with the classic cavalcade of games on the cover.

Re: Congratulate OR Weep for me! Soon to be CDi OWNER!

If you didn't get a copy of them I would get copies of Dragon's Lair 1 and 2, Space Ace and 7th Guest (arguably the best version of this game). You are all set for the widest selection of games since you have the Digital Video Cartridge (which is hard to come by anymore). Also, you can buy movies on...

I thought I knew a lot about retro games but you guys are schooling me, the only one I got right off the bat was the Ninja Gaiden one. At least I am learning about some new, to me, games. :gamer:

Re: Favorite Game Genres

Give me a good platformer (just about anything Mario), RPG (currently playing Final Fantasy 1 from GBA on my PSP) or a great strategy game (Front Mission on SFAM translated playing on PSP). That about covers it. Years ago, I was into fighters, well, Street Fighter 2 anyhow.

Re: Oldest video game that you bought new that you still own

I still have the Maze Craze cartridge that I helped buy with my allowance when I was around 6 or so (I had like $5 and my dad played like it was enough to buy it for me since I really wanted it and I spent all week debri removing our 5 acres for that $5).
