Prototypes from the Big Names

Looking at http://www.atarimuseum.com/mainmenu/mainmenu.html , there were a few that caught my eye recently. I have heard of the Atari Cosmos, but the Spector (both using holographic images)? Aparently the 2600 wasn't there first cart based system either, that award goes to the Atari Game Brain. Tha...

Re: Anyone up for making/joining a fantasy football league?

Are you a Vikings fan TC? Jets fan here. :) No, I actually don't like the Vikings at all. I'd prefer they are the team that gets moved to LA. As the name indicates I'm a Chargers fan, although its more or less casually nowadays. I'm a hardcore baseball fan. Its probably the only hobby/interest that...

Re: Anyone up for making/joining a fantasy football league?

Oh man, I would have been in. I'm one of those stats people who check a few times a day, regardless if I'm winning or losing. I played on Atari Ages fantasy teams this past season. I'm definately up for a baseball one this spring if we have one going down!!

You guys should really pick up a record player. Since I'm sure some of you hit up swap meets looking for classic games, you can usually find some cool records for dirt cheap too.

So I picked this up, and the screen is immaculate, and the sound is really crisp and capable of being loud with no distortion. Very impressed so far.

Steal of a deal!!

Went to a local pawn shop today, picked up the PSone Combo (Newer version of the Playstation with the Sony brand LCD) for the low price of $30! Can't even find the LCD for under $50 half the time, so I just had to jump on it. Also came with the updated PSone dualshock controller. Semi-portable gamin...

Re: NOAC

I have no clue where my camera is, but it is Specifically called 101 Games in 1 made by Senario Games. Its a grey controller with and orgish yellow d-pad and buttons. The select, start and reset buttons found in the middle of the controller are a light purple. I threw out the plastic package it came...

Re: NOAC

Best of luck Ter! Your gonna have to give your review of the system. I think the thing is great for what it is. Sure the d-pad is slightly mushy, but it still controls quite well. Having 101 games for about $10 cannot be beat though.

Re: Your favorite Activision game for Atari 2600

For as simplistic as it is, I really like Ice Hockey.

I'd say Activision has some really great games, and any one of them could be chosen as one of the best. Do they even have a game that could be considered poor?

Re: Nintendo 64

I thought that the Expansion Pak was only used by games that were made after it was released. How did games take advantage of something that they didn't know was going to exist? Also, is there a definative list to the benefits of the Expansion Pak for each game that it helped?

Re: Nintendo 64

Strangest thing, but I found that "Memory Expansion Pak" today at a pawn shop for $10. I figured since I was bitching about it earlier this week I have to splurge. Now I can play my Perfect Dark cartridge! From what I've heard it also improves the AI on Golden-Eye, and it helps a lot of ga...

Re: 1st or 3rd person person shooters

How were the Call of Duty games for this generation? I'm not into the multiplayer aspect of the games, the single player campaigns are what I'm into. Its a wildly popular game for the current gen, just curious how they played prior to this.

That might be a bad example since Sony is the only one with the rights to MLB The Show, but I can see what your saying.

Grand Nationals? Pftt, I'm all about the Monte Carlo. Anyways, sorry to hijack the thread, and welcome to the board. Same body style (g-body), but why would you prefer a car that (all opinions aside) is slower and worse on gas? Add that to the fact that IMO the GN looks cooler too. A certain awesom...
