Re: Sports Titles
Anybody else here a sports fan like me? I know where ever there are video games sold, theres sure to be a few bargain sports titles there also. I know most gamers, especially "classic" gamers, hate sport titles with a passion. I'm really not too bothered by them. I have almost each one of...

Best books on Video Game History?
What books do you guys own and recommend? All I have is "High Score". Its got lots of nice pictures and a real brief description of games and systems from the beginning all the way up to the PS2 gen. It gets into a bit of computer gaming history also. All in all, its a decent book, but not...

I think the real question on everybody's mind is, "Does it actually work on a Wii?"

Re: What computers did you use growing up?
Well, like I said in a previous post, my family didn't get a computer until about 93 or 94. It was a Packard Bell. All I know it had windows 3.1. Remember playing a lot of games on DOS back in the day. Lots of Blake Stone, Jazz Jackrabbit, Wacky Wheels... a bunch of Apogee titles. I remember a reall...

I have Master Builder for the 2600. Either an R7 or an R8 depending on what rarity guide you look at.

How about a New Purchases forum
What better place to brag about the great find you found at the pawn shop or local flea market? I know I'm stealing this idea from Atari Age, but I always like seeing what others have found and at what price. Its also a great way to strike up conversation about old forgotten games. Who knows, maybe ...

I'm not sure if this is the proper thread to put this in, but I was curious if any of you have played any of the clone NES systems. I'd like to get something to play NES games on, and my toaster has been busted for a while now. I took out the pin connector and tried cleaning it and bending the pins,...

Re: Dream Car
Seems as if we have a few guys in here that are fans of automobiles as well, so out of curiosity, what is your dream car. I'm keeping mine simple since I'd like my dream to someday become a reality. I'm gonna go with the 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo. Ideally it would be black with black leather interior....

Re: Genesis or SNES guy
I'd have to say that in the beginning I was a SNES guy all the way, laughing at the Genesis kids that had no Mario to play. Then , Mortal Kombat happened. All of the sudden I was making a mad grab for the Genesis. Sega had introduced the version 2 model, and it had an insanely low price of somethin...

Re: What's your favorite classic Atari System?
I never had Scrapyard Dog, so I can't say based on experience, but I heard that the controls are what keeps this game from being decent. Side scrollers aren't the best on the 7800 anyways.

Playing games online
I at times feel like a dinosaur not ever have played Xbox Live or any PS2 or PS3 online. I own a PS2 and Xbox, but I have never connected online with them. Am I alone in this ship? It just doesn't really appeal to me. I know that some games are enhanced with downloadable content and there are some g...

I second this request.
I'm also curious to know how much "computer speak" is needed to be known in order to work one. Other than in school, the oldest computer I've really messed around with was a 94 Packard Bell Navigator.

Wow, a 76 LTD! Those things were beasts!! They need to make cars like that again! The current Crown Vics, while nice, don't really do anything for me.

Re: Anyone have a Wii?
That isn't the actual box art, is it? I personally wouldn't want to play as King Hippo. And it looks like they are only bringing up characters from the SNES version of Punch Out. I'd definitely want a bunch of new characters and a mix of the older ones.

Genesis or SNES guy
Back in the day, you were usually a supporter of one or the other system. Which one were you? I was a Genesis kid. I had an NES prior to it, but the Genesis just had more of an appeal to me. My next door neighbor had one also, which may have swayed my decision. I remember he had the model 2 genesis ...

Re: The Electronic Handheld Games Museum
I really enjoy looking at that site from time to time. Its truly amazing how far technology has gone just in the past 10-15 years in handheld games. I really wish I would have picked up the remake of the old led football game when they came out a few years ago. Wish someone would redo an led Pac-Man...
