Re: The 20 Worst Video Game Box Covers
You know, Phalanx (in addition to being a great underrated shooter) always catches flak about its cover art, but I always thought it was cool, or at least original. Most people I guess just don't get the concept, but if you remember back in the late eighties and early nineties, every UFO documentar...

Oh MAN they're bad indeed! I hadn't ever seen the Phalanx one, and I can see why it doesn't make any sense. The Blood 'n Guts one; yeah, first thing I thought was some kid drew it! And that beat 'em up for the PS2...silly junk!

Bush wasn't very hip either, his dad didn't know supermarket scanners, heh (rich family never went shopping themselves). Hah, I forgot about that! Clinton seemed to like gadgets and was up on the tips, and played his sax on Arsenio Hall. :) Yeah that's why I didn't mention him, I thought of that im...

Um, he has a Blackberry, and fought to keep using it. XBoxes and PlayStations are video game consoles. Considering he has a YouTube page, it seems like he knows how the surf the net...something I'm pretty sure both of these systems can do. Why would it matter if he doesn't use those? And the Ipad's ...

Re: Oho jee!
That's cool, I don't want to cover stuff that has been done to death either (2600 Pac-Man and E. T. please!). Even though very popular, my Jakks Retro Arcade Featuring Pac-Man was one of only two reviews of it up at the time (there's been at least two more since), and no one had covered the online S...

(laughs!) EXACTLY! Snirk...Rob wrote:Oh man, that box is SO 70's. It almost looks like a fake box that someone designed as a background prop on That Seventies Show. Sort of like "Let's make a stereotypical box that looks like every record cover from 1971!"

Re: Yankee Peddler Day flea market
I used to go to these all the time in the early 90's, but haven't gone in about 15 years or so. Yeah I did that with these local awesome record conventions that were held every other month, at one point I didn't miss a single show in a year and a half's time. Now I haven't been for several years. O...

Re: Spectravideo CompuMate
Yeah Starpath was originally called Arcadia. But then some Arcadia game system was going to come out and I think they (the *other* Arcadia, who made the Supercharger and games) were threatened with a lawsuit if they didn't change their name, so then they had to.

Re: Spectravideo CompuMate
No it wasn't, Spectravideo only came out with a few games, plus the add-on mentioned in this thread.
Starpath came out with the Supercharger and a dozen games for it only, no other type of add-on or anything. Good company, I've got a third of their library.

Aw, these are cute!
A lot of the little details (the reflection in Dig Dug's goggles) are pretty cool.

Heard of it back in the day, that was it.
Wow, amazed at the headphone ports and all. Not a big deal nowadays, but something like that for the 2600? That's pretty unheard of!
