Actually, you're both right. INTV Corp. took over for Mattel in the late 80's.

I got a PS3 today
On Thursday, I found an empty PS3 80 gig box. I took it home, and all the instructions were also in there. I figured I could now find a used PS3 without a box, since the box adds value. Today, I picked up an 80 gig PS3 for $230 on Craigslist. It was the older 80 gig model, and plays PS2 games. It ju...

An elderly man and two college girls
An elderly man walks into a confessional. The following conversation ensues: Man: 'I am 92 years old, have a wonderful wife of 70 years, many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Yesterday, I picked up two college girls, hitchhiking. We went to a motel, where I had sex with each of them...

Commander Keen!
Who here was a fan of the Commander Keen games? I got my IBM XT in 1994 and quickly downloaded these on my 2400 baud modem. Here's a great fan site:

Re: When will battery technology improve?
Are you talking about reusable batteries or regular cell batteries? I'd have to say that within the last ten years rechargable battery packs have improved greatly. Stuff like cell phone batteries, camcorder batteries, laptop batteries, etc. beat the pants off of what we had in the eighties and nine...

New forums
I have decided to create Freeware/PD/Shareware forum. Also, I have split the handheld forums. One will be devoted to dedicated handhelds, while the other to handhelds that accept media (cartridges, cards, etc.). I'm still trying to figure out how to create a sticky.

The name that classic game thread!
The rules are easy. Just name the game and then post your own classic game picture. Let's make it fairly easy at first. Here ya go:

FC Mobile portable NES player
Does anyone here own one? I want one, but I'm gonna wait for the FC Mobile 2. You see, on this one, the "A" and "B" buttons are reversed, and there's no A/C adapter option. That just kills it for me.

I really didn't like is Atari 5200 review. So the system sucks because his controller had to be broken? In over 11 minutes, he didn't review one 5200 game.

Re: Games you hate that everyone else likes
No, I believe that the controllers will be more advanced than the PS3 controllers- think Wiimote functionality in a "traditional" configuration. I could very easily see holding the Dualshock controller by its center and it doubling as a wand-type apparatus, with minor revisions of course....

You don't consider the original Odyssey a console? It had about thirty cartridges released for it. The Odyssey Pong systems came later. Nope, and neither do nearly all video game historians and book writers. Everywhere I have ever looked, the 1976 Fairchild Channel F is considered the first program...

Re: What the hell is this system?
I actually have one :D It's basically a sport system that plays kinda like the Wii. You have different controllers for each game (The controller comes with the game), Bowling- you have a bowling ball you act like your bowling and it makes it happen on screen, Tennis- you have a tennis racket, Baseb...

Wow, I didn't read that part. Major drawback IMO.Jakenut86 wrote:In the link you posted they say it has no batteries and has to be plugged in. Which is kinda a drawback as you can only use it near a power outlet or a car if you could find a cigarette adapter for it.
